I'm hovering around 12K on my stupid TW fic now. Shit got real about 400 words ago. WTF?
So for my mom's birthday I'm replacing a carpeted room with hardwood that matches the rest of her house. At first she wouldn't let me because "it's too expensive." Seriously? That's a new guilt angle for her. I was impressed. So my redneck cousin-in-law is installing this flooring (be prepared for many hilarious stories related). Today we went to pick up the boards and Barry Manilow was playing on his car radio. Dude, talk about cognitive dissonance. He listens to the soft rock station. Not screaming angry metalish music or the pop country station. Air Supply and the Pina Colada Song.
I go to the same store all the time. As you do. One of the girls who works there is always working when I go in. We always end up talking as I check out (probably annoying everyone behind me). Today I was wearing a Superman shirt and she struck up a whole conversation about LOKI and how he was her favorite all time comicbook character. There were a lot of feels on her part. Hi, Kroger Girl, if you're reading this. You're pretty cool, but I'm a Steve Rogers girl.
I finally watched The Cabin in the Woods. I managed to not get spoiled for it, too. I'd down with Chris Hemsworth being a Joss favorite, let me just say.
