This is about the level of dialogue I expected from the left-leaning press (but how liberal VF readers/editors are aside from nominally, I could argue--Christopher Hitchens ffs).

This, though? When your party discipline has fallen this low, you gotta wonder if someone should be running to lead an entire country. Obviously, I think he shouldn't be, but I'm Obama's base. I've voted for exactly one Republican my entire life, and that was a local election where the terms meant nothing.

I had stared to get down about the election since I thought we were doomed, but Mitt being exposed as a Gilded Age robber baron is pretty schadenfreudish even if it doesn't matter in the long-run. "But he seems like a nice guy" is NOT a reason to vote for someone, especially when the nice guy bits go about as deep as the humanity of V lizards.

I need to get some kind of "Romney foreclosed on your life" bumper sticker being in a swing state living in a neighborhood with 15 foreclosed properties.
