syncope at 03:25pm on 28/06/2012I have a fuckton of tabs open (as you do) summarizing various comics plots. I started cackling about the time I hit "Nerd Hulk" who is described as a shitty fighter because he's still as smart as Bruce. This is a sheer delight! I can just see Hulk with a sardonic expression sighing and saying "I'll fight you, but it's all going to go to shit. Let's just get it over with so I can back to Morgan Freeman explaining physics." (his form of trash tv)
I've figured out that I have to just pick a continuity and read through, so I think I'm going to go with Ultimates. The boy nerds are telling me the films are closest to those stories. I hated Ultimate X-men, so tell me if this is a huge mistake. The artwork in Civil War is horrible (not in a good way) and it made my eyes bleed.
I've had to explain the Hulk's behavior in the movie several times to people in very different environments, and I'm starting to wonder if that is all so obvious to me because I'm a former member of the Jossian Cult so parsing his intention is ingrained like chapter and verse.

In other words, HURRAH, SOCIALISM WINS! If rampant big business is socialism. However, I do plan to enjoy very much seeing Romney explain how Obama doing something very similar to him = the end of the world! Suck it, Mitt. Hopefully we can look back on this as the retooling of The Great Society and not just an ironic blip on the radar of America becoming a total fascist dystopia.
How about we end this depression with a new WPA?

Back to regularly scheduled programming: I think I'll write the totally self-indulgent fic of my heart this evening. That usually works pretty well for me.

Now with Avengers spoilers in the comments (but, seriously, you haven't seen it yet?).
