Some very random things:
Liz has decided I'm not writing Inception fic anymore because I've been reading comics too much. To prove her wrong I'm writing a fic based on a kinkmeme prompt that's pretty random. I doubt (as usual) that it's what the OP wants at all, but I will probably post it here tomorrow.
In the same vein I posted about comics again on heydontjudgeme. I swear I will finish with Robin: Year One eventually. This week. I swear. Oy. I think the people who are interested in Batman based off my crossover fic should dl the comics I've uploaded and read those posts. You might like that. Or not. Live your life.
I'm pretty disgusted by the budget "compromise." Are you kidding me? We can't overhaul the damned defense budget? What is even fucking going on? I thought my rage threshold had been hit with Bush, but no. Now I'm fucking repulsed by the Democrats and how weak and ineffectual they are. Do I even need to elaborate? What the hell has happened to this country? I cracked up last week when PBS showed a doc on the Triangle Shirt Wait Fire. Talk about social commentary. Unions are socialist! We went through to already. Jesus.
I've recently been struck by a curiosity as to why Guy Richie hasn't made a Krays movie. It seems very much up his road. I wonder if he has a script in a drawer waiting for someone to be interested. I figure he could do that movie right (and so wrong at the same time as he's wont) along the lines of a mash up of Gangster Number One and Snatch. Maybe an outsider's pov on the events with some social commentary in there. With awesome costuming. WHY WHY hasn't he made that movie? I WANT IT SO HARD. No, he's too busy making another Sherlock Holmes abomination (look, I know most people love that movie so hard, but I cannot buy RDJ as Sherlock Holmes, deal with it).
I'm not entirely sure I can make it to Wincon this year (yes, I know), but if I can I have my Winprom outfit sorted. It will be glorious. Oh yes.
THE KRAYS. This minor obsession is a bit out of nowhere, I am aware.
