I guess I'm not posting these days? Something like that. I keep promising to write this one story I've been stewing on for more than a week, but everything in the world is conspiring against that. (This is the Eames's iPod fic.)

Soooooooooooo, The Eagle, you've seen it now or plan to in the near future OR you're hoping this phase passes swiftly so people can go back to X other thing that you actually like. I know, latter people, how you feel. I've been there. We've all been there. Sorry about this next bit, scroll!

Channing Tatum interview shamelessly ripped off from [livejournal.com profile] handsomespeck who I caught cheating on Tom Hardy with this guy RIGHT OUT IN PUBLIC. You might be interested in reading this as he comes off as ridiculously charming even through the smug self-satisfaction of the writer. This is one of those pieces where as much is said about the journalist as the subject matter, and I always wonder when I read something like this why someone would work so hard to present themselves as a douche. I don't read "I'm so cool, this guy's alright, I guess, I like him against my better judgment, you might, too." I read "I have serious self-esteem issues and will knock down this other guy who's better looking and more successful than me with what I believe to be an tone of ironic distance that just comes off as pathetic."

ANYWAY, my criticism of criticism aside, hey, Channing Tatum's been in TWO movies with JGL. TWO. I wish I could write rpf these days since it appears the universe is pretty much begging for it.

About GI Joe, when the press junket was going down, I read some (I have no idea why) interview with JGL where he was discussing how he took the role (IF YOU HAVE NOT SEEN IT, HE WEARS A MASK THE WHOLE TIME) because he was really into figuring out how to act without being able to use his face. At the time, I laughed my ass off because I read that as "my agent told me to do this, and I'm going to make jokes since this film's such a disaster. I got JOKES!" ...now I have reassessed that and decided there is at least 50% chance he was completely serious. Charming or ludicrous, I can't decide!

So anyway, I apparently talk about actors in what appears to be a non-sarcastic way for now. Huh. Tom Hardy, when the reckoning comes, you will regret this.

OK OK NOW READ THIS INTERVIEW
