So far I've survived by tuning out everything he says by meditating on what I will eat later or by surreptitiously texting. YES, I AM THE DICK TEXTING IN CLASS. I'm pretty shameless about it at this point, because it's The Dude, bitch isn't gonna care!
For those of you who don't know me: I'm a bit high strung, I like facts and specifics and for things to be either this way or that way when it comes to things that are factual. If it's about things with no objective truth, I don't give a shit, but if there is some factyness about something, I'd prefer to stick to that and move on.
The Dude says things like "let your anxiety go, free like a butterfly" with illustrative gesticulations.
Massively surprising personal fact: I hate hippies. People who want to get in touch with their inner angel selves or whatever make me, let's just say, react negatively. Having to sit through injunctions about "letting go of negativity" and how good it is for my non-quantifiable soul is quite vexing.
HE IS NOT DEAD YET, Y'ALL. Building my castle in heaven.
Today The Dude lived to see another day because Tom Hardy's going to be Bane in the new Batman movie, little does Tom Hardy know he's saving lives.
