Today I had to chase my own dogs with a broom because they cornered a possum under the deck and I couldn't get them out. The difficulty level of this stage in the game of my life was compounded by the fact that I was wearing slippers and there's ice all over the ground so I kept sliding and almost falling down. Also: I am deathly afraid of possums in the way that anyone who grows up in the swamp learns to be as a survival tactic.
