Uh, what? Camelot This article is full of hilarity. Arthur was a British king who fought off the Saxons. He was?
I love the whole "what do the historians know, anyway, eggheads!" tone of the writer's attitude. "History shouldn't be a museum piece" !!! That one is a classic of (term used loosely) Hollywood bullshit.
That is to say: holy shit, this show is already my favorite show ever made and it's not even cast yet! Bring me your casting suggestions!
I assume this is a Showtime production, but that is not actually explicated. I wonder if it's actually HBO and that's why not stated. Maybe you know.
Not related to King Arthur/the lulz this producer is creating: Ewan McGregor's going to be in a Steven Soderbergh film? Maybe Michael Douglas will drop out so I won't have to endure his face.
Today's metafandom lol is: "what is a bnf?"
ETA: A link to this amazing piece of writing that is supposedly a review of 500 Days of Summer but is actually about how people dick each other over, how we internalize patriarchal conceptions about the world, and how cute Joseph Gordon-Levitt is. I *love* the style of the piece. Very well written. (Also, it reminds me a lot of my friend,
elizah_jane, like you care, but I find it endearing.)
