First a couple links from my flist:
The most hilarious fan letter EVAR RITEN I'd seen that around before but never read it. OH BOY! It's pretty great to be too old to have the shit I thought at 14 saved for posterity. However, in my case, I think mostly people would be lolling over political manifestos.
And here is something I think you might be interested in
holiday_on_ice Sign ups. Figure. Skating. Fic. Exchange. HIT IT!
From a community I'm a member of: Askars, when asked about an Eric spin-off of TB, pitches his concept “I think Eric the Viking King would be a brilliant sitcom. Probably set in a high school environment. Kind of like an updated version of Fresh Prince.” If the quote isn't good enough, the poster opines that it *might* be a joke.
So the link on metafandom that annoyed me today--someone going on about how the nature of meta has changed and how people who don't like it need to suck it up because it's going to keep changing. When did meta in fandom change? There are like five topics and they 'round and 'round. What changes is the tone sometimes, or maybe the way the questions are framed. The topics are: feedback, how/why we write, "rudeness," us vs them, and I forget what 8 was for. (Supply your own since I just made that up randomly.)
