Hello from Plague Central! Everyone is sick, this appears endless. I have pulled muscles in my ribs from coughing so hard; I've just given up at this point. We're having tomato soup for dinner because it's easy and people have to eat (not from a can! pride, people). Solid food is too much to even contemplate.

People are overwhelmed with the help_haiti threads, I know. The response has been pretty typical for lj fandom when an emergency arises--that is to say WE ARE AWESOME. The most FABULOUS and endlessly entertaining Dru is collecting the links in simple text hyperlink format to streamline the process. Here is the food and audio post. So far I keep being outbid. I would be annoyed by that except that IT'S TOTALLY AWESOME. Just like fanpoodles when we concentrate on positivity and uplift rather than wank and grudges.

I considered offering something on the food post, but I cook but don't bake except when I have to. I guess I have tons of homegrown tomatoes and pears and junk in jars. Is there a market for that?
