syncope: (daddy drinks because you cry)

I'm feeling better today, which is a sliding scale at this point. I thought I felt well enough to drink a cup of coffee. I haven't had a cup of coffee since I got sick. Yeah. I'll spare you the details. I have learned to wait a good five minute interval before bothering to try to brush my teeth, though. New life skill.

Supernatural fans might be the only ones I've ever known who weep at the thought of getting another season of their beloved show. Guys, perspective, please buy some from the App Store. You don't have to actually watch it if it's like bleach on your soul, you know. I mean, it's not TUNE IN or PRISON. I still boggle over how many people bought into this "we have a Vision" crapola that Kripke pushed. ? Fans are a weird amalgam of bitter cynics and kool-aid addicts. People who have visions do not get in bed w/ the WB. What really exasperates me about this belief in the mythical "plan" for SPN is that at the same time that people seem to buy this they also realize that the show has fundamentally shifted in plot/tone/concept since S1. Does this season seem like the natural storytelling conclusion to the show you watched in S1? Most of us are creators of something, haven't you ever realized where your story was really going midstream and just shifted the entire narrative? Why is it so hard to imagine someone working in another medium doing the same? Is that some kind of failure of integrity? I just don't get it.

I wish every show had as clever a conceit as Doctor Who so that they could just hit DO OVER! and keep trundling along. I mean demons and angels and gods are as ever-lasting as aliens and space. Why not?

(God, I might have to go on a month-long vacation to the moon if Castiel dies in the finale.)

Please let Being Human take off fannishly this season! Watch this show, y'all.
