The description of Star Trek: The Final Frontier just presented itself to me. The crew of the Federation starship Enterprise is called to Nimbus III, the Planet of Intergalactic Peace. Yeah, I wonder how THAT can go wrong! You know who the LAST PEOPLE I would send on this mission?
Jim: Oh, damn, how did we blow them up?
McCoy: Dammit Jim, I told you we couldn't keep that singularity in a jar with holes punched in the lid!
Spock: It would seem that we have once again broken all the known laws of physics in an unreproducable way which goes against...
Random Officer: I would like to resign my commission if that wouldn't bother anyone too much...?

Now that we have the obligatory ST portion of this post out of the way, I would like to discuss the show which I steadfastly refuse to resign as my primary fandom. I am dling When the Levee Breaks to rewatch it because I haven't been able to force myself to do so yet. I don't get emotional about this show anymore because it's, you know, kind of ridiculously depressing if you allow it to be, but last week really did a number on me. ( Spoilers )
Ok, the above indicates I really am still in this fandom in a way that is truly mindblowing to me.
In other news, I am calling McCoy Leo in my McCoy pov fic, if you don't like it, don't read it. Read that like Spock saying "live long and prosper."
