1. Racist morons who take away from the time I could be spending talking about/watching/writing fic for Star Trek will be punished accordingly when my Empire gets off the ground. Luckily, I have Amber to text me about ST all the time. My Empire will not be benevolent, but I will forgive subjects who bring me Star Trek sequels.

2. Something that I continue to fail to understand, with role playing:

Me: LULZ *ignorant ass comment*
You: Um, you just offended me/hurt my feelings/coopted my entire lifestyle.
Me: SO!
You: Could you stop?
Me: Justify why I must stop, you're too sensative!
You: Why are you needlessly causing me pain?
Me: You're lame! And I have the right to say anything I want, and also come here and tell you how lame you are.

Why does the keep happening? Listen, this is how this should go:

Me: Lulz *ignorant ass comment*
You: Uh, you just offended me/hurt my feelings/coopted my entire lifestyle.
Me: ...oh. I didn't know what I was saying sucked, I'll chill out now, maybe write some Star Trek fan fic, you know, leave you alone and remember not to do that again.
You: Fine, but I'll hate you forever.
Me: Fair.

There are people I would like to projectile vomit on operating computers somewhere on the other end of the internet, and I wish they would have their cable cut off. A good deal of my frustration isn't even directed at Patricia Wrede but at people who live on in blissful stupidity whilst offending me over and over again. I HATE YOU, YOU JUST DON'T KNOW IT!

3. Oh yeah, and ANOTHER THING: how can there even be a goddamned DEBATE about deporting John Demyanyuk? There's a statue of limitations on the effin' Holocaust now? Oh poor old nazi, stop being so mean to him! Huh? Can we deport him straight into hell? Because that would be my vote.

I wonder how much of this happened because the journal owner knew who the commenter was? Several people remark on the coding of it being a white person defending a white person--and wouldn't argue that--but how much it was also favor currying? THAT is what I hate about published authors crossing over into fannish spaces if they aren't fans themselves--it causes a power dynamic that really bothers me.
