Ah, ok. I just stumbled over some Merlin fic awards thing looking for something to read as I'm despairing of H/D fic and am mildly contemplating a HP/Merlin xover where the Merlin (tv) universe is actually the HP universe since the level of crack is about on par (and we know Merlin was an historical figure in the HP world) and one of my fics was nominated. (I've written all of one Merlin fic, so don't get all excited that there was something you missed, nope!) I'm really morally opposed to fic awards and my first reaction was to click the "reply" button and ask the maintainer to take my fic off the list. But then I realized that was an asshole move and it's just better to ignore it and pretend I never clicked through to it. (For the record my position on awards and so on is that people shouldn't be singled out in a falsely democratic manner for their fic to be according some mythically "better" status. It just leads to hurt feelings that I think are pointless. And to just prove what a jerk I am, I also assume when I see fic awards that the people running them are 14, which is why I don't bother to get in their business anymore.) Oh, who cares.

I don't have a HP icon anymore, so I will use my tangentially Slytherin one.
