syncope at 10:23am on 05/12/2008Someone on my delicious network saved this EPICALLY bad Harry/Draco fic, and I clicked it just to find out how bad it was going to be (I knew it was going to be bad because I *know* her) and then I ended up reading THE WHOLE HORRIBLE THING. It was looooooooooooong. And SO BAD.
Anyway, I suppose my entire point is: could someone rec me some H/D fic that doesn't suck? No veelas need apply. I also would prefer Draco to not be all sweetness and light inside and simply misunderstood. If you've known me a long time you will know I've not read much H/D fic as I used to hate it in a similar way to Clex fic only with more magic and fewer red jackets.
I wonder if this mild interest has been provoked by buying the new JKR book. I haven't read it yet because I've been too busy, but I have high hopes it's an utter train wreck. I barely read the last HP book, skimming most of it since it actually almost bored me. Did it inspire a lot of fic that "fixed" the epilogue? I didn't bother to go looking I was so disgusted with the insipid ending. But looking back, still way better than Twilight!
Yesterday I bought this for one of my kids:
Tonight at family dinner I plan to pwn everyone with this purchase as I feel it wins Christmas. (Everyone so far as asked me if I plan to keep it for myself. Honestly, I would have KILLED for that toy when I was a kid, but I am a little over giant stuffed unicorns. If it was an octopus the answer would be different.)
So, H/D recs? Or whatever. You got something good, fling it at me.
