syncope at 10:24pm on 22/11/2008We're playing a Iron Chef drinking game we're making up as we go along. We were discussing the fact they just made normal ice cream. We then opined that foie gras ice cream might be ok. Everyone in the room agreed. I then said "Guys, we all just came to the conclusion that foie gras ice cream was intriguing." No one could deny this was true.
We lolled.
Sally made carrot cake and everyone but me's about to pig out again. Tonight's menu was: roasted homegrown beets, from scratch green bean casserole (NOTHING FROM A CAN), a salad of toasted pine nuts, blue cheese, arugula, and cranberries with fig and balsamic vinaigrette, roast lamb chops, and dressing made with mixed wild mushrooms, foie gras, and truffle oil. Pictures to follow.
