This very much smacks of Axelrod/Emanuel influence on the White House. This is the exact thing that R Maddow and other super leftist pundits were paranoid about. I honestly wonder if this is some kind of bait and switch since Clinton came out so strongly wrt not wanting a Supreme Court nom. (And to that I say: bitch, please!) I wouldn't be surprised if the "leak" came the Clinton team, one last fuck you to Obama, "sit on that, sucker!"

I just don't know. I can't see Clinton giving up her Senate seat for Sec of State. She's consolidating power now and she can do a whole lot more in the Senate in that direction. Especially since Uncle Teddy is gonna drop dead and leave his Chairmanship open (we can all hope this isn't true, but let's be frank).
Also, Biden tapping Gore's CoS was a BRILLIANT (Rahmian) move. I wonder when they'll trot Mr. Nobel-winner himself out to gild the lily. Oic, he's disavowing a Cabinet post already. Poo!
I see they've stuffed Bill back in the attic where he belongs.
