OK, I was going to talk about how redic Gossip Girl was this week, but instead, let's talk about Fall Out Boy's songs from FAD, shall we?

Don't click this if you don't know I'm a bit of a critic. )

While looking for "I Don't Care" in my iTunes, I discovered that Whiskeytown also has a song called "I Don't Care What You Think About Me." Pete and Ryan should hang.

I would also like to say that Pete's whole HOW DID THE PHONE GET IN THE VIDEO thing continues to crack me up as I was just watching the intro scene of the video and Joe's holding the fucking phone. Suuuuuuuuuure, you didn't know about the product placement, Pete! God, I love him. He's seriously my pop culture hero. I wish I could parlay being an emo douche into being a millionaire. Write a how to book, Pete, I'll buy it (ok, I'll illegally dl it).

It's been a while since I gave y'all any music, hasn't it? I think because I've hated everything I've heard lately. I suppose that might signal me transistioning into liking something new that I haven't figured out yet. That's sort of shitty (for me).

One of things that makes the fundies and the heat tolerable in Nashville is that you run into the most delightful people on the planet. Like Tommy Womack This is the song about being a musician you've always wanted to hear and never knew existed. It's called "Alpha Male and the Canine Mystery Blood." Do you need to know more? It also has tons of social commentary. Not enough? The dude wrote a book set in the Civil War about a fake gay confederate soldier. ???

And I really like this guy: Cory Branan - The Best Trick and Jericho This track has him being himself at the beginning of it (the one w/ him talking about his dad crashing the car). If you're new and haven't dled this dude from me before, do your entire life a favor and meet Cory. You know how sometimes you feel inexplicably lonely and filled with ennui for no apparent reason? It's because you don't know Cory.

It Gets Worst At Night This is a Lucero cover. You know Lucero, right? I honestly think this is my favorite track on my iPod. I wear it out sometimes. Now how about Lucero's version? Oh, Tennessee. Too bad it's in the middle of nowhere. I guess the reason these guys exist is because it's in the middle of nowhere. This song is seriously emo, btw, if the will entice you. Jenn has a new game "is it a traditional country ballad or an emo song?" with excerpted lyrics. It works, trust me.

Ok, so here I will be a total tinhat. If I were to make Pete/Patrick mixtape, this would be the first song on it: Easy <--------- hahaha wow, that's the kind of day it is! However, Pete wrote fanfic song from Patrick's pov so I don't feel that ashamed. (Download these songs, Pete and call Cory, seriously, he's about to make a new album.)

So, it appears we have tickets for Jimmy Kimmel (guess who's gonna be on). Jenn says the dress code says "no hoodies." Suuuuuuuuuuuure. Does Pete get a pass?

I'm working on the last bit of vampires and I realize that I'm purposefully sabotaging myself on it because I don't want to let go. I don't think that's EVER happened to me with a project before.

Here, a couple more things: The Hold Steady - Sequestered in Memphis (That song features Ben Nichols from Lucero, to go w/ the theme there.) I've probably posted this song before. It features the narrative of hooking up at a club and the lyric "we didn't go back to her place/we went some place where she cats sits" People, if I haven't convinced you this is the awesomest band ever, I throw my hands in the air. Constructive Summer The theme song to Vampires. "Me and my friends are like double whiskey coke no ice." "Let this be a reminder that we can all be something bigger." Yeah, my darkest secret is that I'm actually a very positive believer. I fooled you, right? Buy the new Hold Steady album, go see them live, you'll be a believer, too. (Wear striped shirts to camouflage yourself as a cynic.)

It's one of those days, people. I just wanted to say, thanks for everything, everyone reading this that I love. There are a lot of you. Just, you know, so you know.
