syncope at 01:37pm on 04/10/2008So my ipod died. I know I said that already, but it's officially dead now. We went to the Apple store to see if they had a magic wand or something. They just had the light that they claim indicates "water damage." I call BULLSHIT on that. I know what happened since I watched it happen. I plugged it into the dock and it stopped working. I know my vision is not the best in the world but I was only two feet away!
Let me back up.
I knew I was going to have to buy a new ipod. I was resigned. Pissed off but resigned. (I had forgotten it was under warranty.) As we're strolling up to the Apple store, Jenn turns to me and says "hey, is that Nathan Fillion?" and (if you know me, you can imagine how this went) I said "where?" and looked in every direction but the correct one. Finally, I did a 360 and, yes, it was Nathan Fillion. Cripes, he's hot!
(Later when we went to Barnes and Noble, Ed Norton passed us on the sidewalk. It was one of those days.)
So that was a good omen! We ate greek and shopped and went back to the Apple store (where you have to have an appointment, which didn't stop the buttinsky who monopolized our "expert"'s time as he was examining my dead ipod, but we were just two women, so as a man he could just circumvent the whole process, right?) Aaaaaaaaaaanway, I ended up getting a new ipod, a 120 gig one I almost named Darthpod since it's black, however I don't like Star Wars, so that wasn't on.
Guess what? I lost half my music since it was from another computer (it seems like every six months this happens to me, I know, but his time it was a whole 10!). I am begging for music. Whatcha got? Also, there's some lj post where someone's compiled like ALL of the bandom music/video and so on, who has a link to that?
I also got the cable that jacks my ipod right into the tv, and I plan to go wild w/ that!
In thanks for your help, I'm writing vampires today. Yay?
