Well, I thought Palin might have swung people w/ her being all SWEET and HAR HAR (puke) but when Biden almost cried he swung it back around for Team Sanity.
To be frank, I clearly do not hold a lot of truck with Joe's foreign policy. While I agree w/ interventionism in extreme cases, his original stance on Iraq was simply wrong. I wish he would have just SAID "yeah, I fucked that up, my entire career has been about interventionism and my heart was in the right place but Bush sucks so hard he fucked it all up. Coulda worked if Powell was Prez!" Something that bothers me is...
...if she says ALSO one more fucking time I'm crawling into the tv and choking her w/ her own glasses...
...anyway, it gets on my nerves that politicians aren't allowed to admit they changed their mind. We all change our minds. It effin' happens. Everyone besides leftwing nutbags like me were for the war in Iraq, it was a very confusing time when we were propagandized by a political machine that abused our outrage and depression over 9/11 for their prestanding agenda to intercede in a country that they didn't particularly like. We were tricked. Them's facts. Not just normal citizens but also politicians were manipulated. I see nothing wrong with Congresspeople admitting they were brainwashed.
I feel like Palin's entire talking point memo was written by that cock Rove and someone who works at FoxNews...oh WAIT!
(I was texting my mom w/ my outrage and she said "All I can see is Tina Fey" in reply to my text that read "Die, Palin, die!")
I wish that Joe Biden had taken the gloves off and just gone after her. I understand their unspoken motto is Rise Above, but DAMN! She's an ignoramus! When she was all "I'm not going to answer the questions you ask, I'm going to talk about what I want. HEEHEE!" I was like "WOT???? Is this a skit?" What the fuck is even going on here? How can they actually put this woman up in the second slot? Dear god, maybe we deserve to be taken over by China.
When she mentioned god I was so uncomfortable I screeched. It's all so depressing.
NBC (and why is that what we're watching?) is saying Palin WON this debate...what the ever-longing hell? Is that because she wasn't chewing gum? And CNN is saying Biden misstepped by using "Senate speech" with words like "amendments." WHAT? Hello, when did we decide that elected officials should be inexperienced and shouldn't know how the motherfucking government works? I am fucking appalled.
Why even pretend that we're not just so utterly divided that it's not about the issues, it's about fundamental worldview issues. I don't want crazy warmongering fundies running my country and people who support the GOP ticket don't want tree-hugging faggots running their country. The fucking end.
eta I loathe Paul Bagala, but he always brings it. He just called Palin a sideshow. Ok, Paul two points to you, now shut up about Bill Clinton.
