My sleep is even more fucked up than usual (this is saying quite a lot). Nate theories it's the moon. I don't really listen to his cockamamie theories because they're cockamamie, but the moon's as good of an excuse as astrology and people I dearly love believe in that crazy shit. I think it's probably just stress. As I'm also having wildly detailed dreams of utter insanity.
I don't usually write about my dreams on lj, mostly because I think they're untranslatable in the verbal/written format and they're intensely personal. I think writing about your dreams is way more personal than medical tmi or your sex life.
(Jenn just called Gabe a douche...I do not approve.)
You can see by this stream of consciousness that my sleep is taking a lot out on my mind. It's a good thing really shitty tv's are on tonight so I don't have to use any brain power, right? It's tiring when your brain refuses to even rest when your body's trying to.
On yet another endless conference call. Everyone seems to know it's pointless, though. (I have a compulsion that every time I end a sentence w/ though to tack chan on the front of the sentence. I know this is obnoxious as HELL so I limit myself to like once a month.)
Free digital version of War For the Oaks. (from Tangles) Oh, how much a I love this book? A LOT. I would say it was fairly influential on my writing, too. I've always been really disappointed that Emma Bull hasn't put out a book a year since this one. It's a tragedy! Maybe she only had one good book in her, though. That's true for a lot of people. If you haven't read this: do. There are some troubling racial issues in it, fair warning. It's the sort of clueless shit a white woman in the Midwest in the 80's would get up to--I think you can infer all you need to there.
Gabe Saporta's twitter...I think he's going to be a twitter addict and delight me at all hours of the day and night with his ramblings. Come on, bring it, Gabe!
I was planning to write vampires today, but somehow my day was swept from under me without me noticing. What did I even DO? Mystery of the universe.
So, Smallville...best worst show ever?
OH YEAH! Hey, if you want to come chat w/ fellow insane fangirls live during the premiere, you can do so here:
spn_live !!! Pass it around. It's like TWO HOURS for the people on the East coast (which is no longer me).
