There's a super hot emo guy outside my window with a labradoodle right now. That's doing a lot for my mood.

So, John McCain--officially tanking the election? McCain secret democrat? McCain's deal with the devil come due? Palin looks like she's going to be good times. I was already lolling when the pundit on CNN said she was a good candidate because "she has a grown son in the Army." This is officially a reason to elect someone? Damn, can I get elected to office because my dad was in the Navy?

Also, since when is a category 3 storm a "major" hurricane. No, fearmongers, it is NOT. eta I am very well versed in Katrina lore. More so than most people, I'd say. This comment was made in light of my personal history. I'm not making fun of Katrina, people. Come on. How a storm impacts a region where it makes landfall depends on a lot of stuff that's not nec. about the strength of the wind/"storm surge." A lot of it, actually, is how populated an area is and not the storm itself. Anyway.

If you live somewhere in America, Cory Branan is currently on tour. I live in the Republic of California, so it's no dice for me. If you read this lj and don't know who Cory is, arg, hit me and I will fix that. He's the only man since I was 14 who can reduce me to ACTING like I'm 14. Jericho This is actually a true story: he once reduced me to speechlessness and caused me to blush so hard I had to flee the room. In case you think "oh, he must be hot," and dismiss me--yes, he's hot (good god), but also loves Neruda and will share his booze w/ you. (That sound? It's me swooning. I don't know ANYONE who comes out of meeting him w/out having a crush on him--this includes stone cold lesbians and straight men.)

I think I was going to talk about politics, but now I'm watching youtube vids hoping to not see myself. That song labeled "The Walkaround" is actually called "Amnesia." He'll be holding magic flowers and a fucking golden unicorn... hahahaha CORY! (This weekend is the Lucero Family Picnic. Ass. Total ass.)

Anywaaaaaaaaaaay. My utter adoration for that douchebag aside (and I named one of my books after one of his songs, so, it's utter adoration), it's an election year! WHEEEEEEEEE. I LOVE this season. It's just pure political porn. I just spent way too much time reading huffpost nonsense about Palin.

What's the next big scandal going to be? I CAN'T WAIT. I really hope McCain loses his entire mind and has a meltdown in front of cameras. You know who I have yet to see this cycle? BOB DOLE. Bob Dole, what's up with Bob Dole? He's usually creeping around, but I've not seen him at all. I wonder if he's shuuuuuuuuuned because of what he said about Shrub.

Also, what's up with Anderson mocking Wolf Blitzer? Does he do that all the time? I've missed Anderson since they changed his timeslot and I never catch him anymore. What a spritely little news elf.
