I just spent way too much of my day listening to music I hate. I do this for the benefit of the world, because every once in a while there is some band I THINK I hate that it turns out I don't. Mostly, if it comes from Brooklyn, I hate it. I could have been listening to Muse all that time and having the weird experience I get from them where I'm honestly MOVED, which if weird for someone as bitter and evil as I am.

The NYT finally notices something's happening on the internet. I think JJ sent me that to talk about it on the blog, but I just can't bring myself. Musically, the bands on Fueled by Ramen do not have much in common. But they share a certain aesthetic, with catchy tunes and lyrics about adolescent angst that are suitable for scrawling in a high school yearbook.
