Why, yes, my new book is going well. Which means I "reward" myself by reading my fl. This brings me great joy as I think I've cut out all the whiners and mainly have either people I watch for shenanigans or people who are delightfully addicted to bandom.

(A guy on the radio just said ironical like it was a real word. He wasn't a 14 year old skater boy but a philosopher. Wincon this year should be pretty damned amusing. This is probably an unpopular opinion in fandom where people wear "feminist" as a badge of honor and take any insult to a female as treason, but I loathe Hillary. I find her politics abhorrent, I dislike her homesteading in NY state to get a senatorial seat, and I think she's unelectable because Fox News has had a jihad against her for like fifteen years.

I think the Democratic Party is selling out the faithful to back this woman when Fox News has made her their whipping boy from Day One. She can NOT pull crossover voters! She's EPIC FAIL as a nominee. This is SHEER MADNESS and only proves yet again that the party machine just does. not. get. it. This makes me SICK. She is everything about status quo politics that is strangling America, and because she's a woman, she draws voters and changes the debate from Politics As Usual and the Decline of the American Empire to The First Woman President. Personally, I feel that fixing the pernicious cancer eating away the American government is more important than electing a female president. Do I wish that a woman of character who believed in tearing down the machine and reworking the facade of bullshit politics was running for president? FUCK YES. However, Hillary is worse than Bill (and in hindsight, sorry, I really have MASSIVE issues with Bill as a president), and I just can NOT support her. I tried very hard to be a Democrat who supported the most electable candidate because the Republicans are all Sith Lords, but I just can't anymore. Obama is my compromise candidate.
