syncope at 01:01pm on 28/11/2007Here are some Muse songs I zipped for someone several random songs. I actually broke down and *bought* their cd the other day. They've gotten much better than their first album. I'm a little obsessed w/ this band right now.
My family lives in this really ridiculously affluent area where people actually stare at me at the grocery (and listen, I don't even look that odd, trust me), and so the local high school has a radio station (and probably gold-plated lockers). The neighborhood my fam resides in is close enough to the school to get great reception from this radio station for most of the scooting-around region of Target-Kroger-home-bank and so on we traverse. This radio station is a source of constant pleasure in my life when I'm kickin' it w/ my fam. For one, the kids who dj are HILARIOUS. There's this one girl who sounds like she's just too fucking over life to even bother moving much less working at the radio station. This girl plays My Chem and Muse. Then there's a boy who plays bongo music and Ween. It's clear they have to be choosing the music themselves because they have favorites they play every time they're djing. THIS IS A THING OF BEAUTY. The public service announcements against cutting and for animal rights are almost too delightful to be endured.
Life is endlessly filled with unlooked-for hilarity. I need to radio shark this shit and upload it.
In other news, Cobra isn't coming ANYWHERE near me, either here or in Tennessee. Wtf is up w/ that? I think I'm too jaded to travel for a show.
