syncope at 01:39pm on 05/11/2007So, I’ve been almost sick since the Con, not really sick but also not fanfuckingtastic, either. I finally got my voice back, but now I’m officially sick. It’s maybe even the goddamn fucking flu because I’m achy! Arg! This is so not on in all of the official Olympic languages!
Since I’m fucking SICK, arg (and I really make that noise to myself in my mind), and could possibly have a brain-damaging fever, I just typed this up on tjournal’s, well, journal:
I think the fic of my heart would probably be something like George Clooney buying Fueled by Ramen and orchestrating a whole counter-cultural revolution through Pete Wentz by which they hook the kids into being uber-liberal, leftwing zealots who all get out the vote and protest in the street and bring the gay-friendly to everyone. This would be have a sort of French student revolution-feel to it in the main story where George has GOALS and Pete has IDEAS (and angst that George laughs at to his face and behind his back) and probably has Matt Damon as the intermediary who deals w/ Pete most of the time since Pete thinks George is sort of an arrogant asshole and George sort of thinks that Pete is a wastrel w/out talent (but that's all just underneath, they like each other's minds).
This story would also have Patrick as a sort of bemused and sarcastic willing pawn and the Panic guys are catpaws of the revolution.
Once I started thinking about this “idea,” I realized that much like in the cultverse, Pete has done most of the heavy-lifting for me and that George could very possibly give up acting for politics when people stop going to see his propaganda films (I mean, there’s having an agenda and then there’s Agendaing, and I think George has segued already). Not only that, but I really do want this story, but I don’t want to write it myself for once.
I mean, could you imagine the moment when Brendon Urie is in an interview and talking about kittens and suddenly blurts out “and family values are really about making sure every kid’s fed and has shoes on her feet and access to education, you know? Damn, I think I have glitter in my eye!” ???
Oh, well, looks like I’ll be writing this now. Fuck. I can’t even trick Z into helping me w/ this one. Surely y’all have Opinions about what would happen in this story, drive by and share (so I can steal all you’re awesome ideas and foist them off as my own).
