I'm going to upload some music of someone I really really like by a guy/band called Brian Wright and the Waco Tragedies. He sounds like Joe Purdy. I think I need explain no further.
Sophia
Your Brother The Poet
Glory Hallelujah
Adeline (This could be a Joe Purdy song, easily. As a matter of fact, I'm pretty sure he's singing back up on this track.)
You can't buy the album yet, but when it comes out on cdbaby, toss the guy ten bucks and feed his alcoholism, please. The more I listen to these tracks, the more I like them. You can thank Shana from popnography for this rec.
Why is sendspace being such a punkass? Fuck a duck. Maybe it's the weather here, looks like tornado weather out right now. Lightning strikes in the distance and the sky sitting low on the tops of the trees.
Now, for the request portion of the evening. J popped up in AIM to compliment Patrick Stump to me. How can I deny her more? Hahaha. Yeah, so, here are some other tracks in line with the ones I uploaded yesterday.
So Sick - Patrick Stump
Thnks fr the Mmrs - FoB unplugged Approach the title of this song as ironic or it might poke you in the eye with the Wentzness of it all. For those of you on the bubble, this is the song with the lyric "he tastes like you, only sweeter" that's not a pronoun typo.
Arms Race - Fob unplugged This and the above are to illustrate that even not autotuned, he really does sound that good.
Sugar - FOB accoustic I think this is also a unplugged track, but I'm too lazy to relabel and fix things.
I think for once, I'm going to say that other than hearing Patrick super intimate in your ears, the produced versions of FoB's actual songs are better because the layered over dubbing and track splicing are what makes the songs, really. This is particularlly evident on a track like "Thnks fr th Mmrs" where the whole song is produced so well that it's more of an experience than a song. I listen to a lot of very badly produced music, trust me, this band has amazing production going for it. "Dance, Dance" is just almost as good in a similar vein. If someone doesn't have either of those tracks and wants them, I'll upload them for you.
Z sent me a brain in a jar as a present on my userinfo. Mallah and the Brain!
Bonus track that just came up in my iTunes: Lucky to Need You - Dylan Rice This is a righ-click situation with a website.
